Blue Springs Ranch- RV Weekend With Family

We have been to Blue Springs Ranch, in Bourbon Missouri, on the Meramec River and Blue Springs creek, many times. Usually we go around Halloween for the trick or treat games and activities with the kids, but this time we are going during the summer to let them play in the water and do some of the other activities that are available only during the warmer weather.

Emily and Anthony also got themselves a little pop up camper that we have done some work on and they were anxious to try it out. With seven of them it was a welcome addition as nine people in our camper, in the heat of the summer nights, would not have been too comfortable. They only needed theirs to sleep in as everyone was busy all day, or in our RV!

It was a lovely weekend and not many photos were taken as we were all very busy with activities. I had brought the movie projector out and the kids watched movies outside as I hung a big white sheet to show the movie. There was a fire and many s'mores were consumed and I am sure the squirrels and raccoons had a field day at night picking up the pieces.

Poppi (that's me, because Grandpa sounds just too old!) cooked big breakfasts and dinners

There was much playing outside. We made sure to bring the right toys!

Then there was outside activities like zip lines and horse back riding. Everyone was able to participate, even Ray, who was a bit apprehensive at first, but in the end it is clear she loved it.

There was also lot of playing in the water, the river, the creek and the pool. We even found something odd in the water, which later we decided was just a toy, but it was exciting for a second. We did see a real water snake and lots of little fish and crayfish.

What is it?

Of course there was plenty of watching movies in the air conditioning, it was well up in the 90's this weekend. Just a very little bit of quiet time and snuggles.

After the weekend chaos, Vicky and I did manage one more night up at our local RV dealer, who offers customers their full hookups on a first come basis. The RV needed to be cleaned.

We did love the whole weekend!
