It was going to be 70f the day after Christmas, impossible not to get out for an overnight in the woods. Felt like it might be a good time to return to one of my favorite views in all the Missouri woods and it did not disappoint! I have noticed that some of my fellow hikers have stopped naming this place when posting photos. If this is a conscious decision, I can understand why and I will do the same. Visiting this weekend, I can see some signs of overuse and abuse. I was fortunate to be completely alone, as I have been each time I have visited, so I will leave this trip just in pictures (they speak for themselves) and hopefully if you discover it and visit, you will treat it was kindness and care, leaving it better than you found it. 😉
